So many things happened during CPH FW AW16 this february. I met the bloggers Eline and Maria and on my very last day I got to hang out with the group of girl from Uptostyle magazine from Hungary! Such a thrill. Among others I connected with the inspirational new fashion brand called AMOV. Let me tell you more!
The Uptostyle chicks; Prizcilla Varga, Anett Pósafalvi, Greta Dobai and Borbála Töke (appearing in that order on the photos), run the cool and modern online magazine Uptostyle, where they feature scandinavian, minimalistic and modern design i all forms. Even though they only write in Hungarian I love reading their reviews and articles – Google Translate is my buddy. I met the lovely girls at the Federico D’Angelo show at my last day and we ended up spending time together until the next show and then unfortunately I had to catch the train. But it was so great meeting them and I just had to share their site with you guys! I’m crossing my fingers, that we get to hang a bit next fashion week.
AMOV is a new danish fashion brand with Kasper Eis as the CEO and founder. Among others he has worked for B&O as well as Lego Wear – both huge brands with a focus on profit and succes. He felt like he was missing something. A purpose. With climate changes and gross inequality (a major difference between rich and poor) he felt like something needed to be done in the Fashion industry. That’s why he founded AMOV – named after his favorite quote from Albert Einstein: “Try not to become a man of succes but rather A Man Of Value”. AMOV is trying to reduce the harm done to the climate while trying to give something back to the society. Each season a new main focus is given – this season it’s the many refugees in Europe. At the same time AMOV is creating basic timeless items with a unique code wrote inside. The code is for when you’re done using you AMOV item – then you can sell your item on AMOV’s online portal for reselling and -shopping. You can connect stories to the clothing and Kasper Eis hopes to see it evolve with time, so that in the end – the oldest collection is with the most. I really adore his vision – to ensure that AMOV clothing is sustainable and is helping out the world.
Right now Kasper and AMOV are on KICKSTARTER to fund 50.000 DKK (approx 7.600 $) for the new collection. Please give them a hand by donating just a little bit! By donating 6 DKK (1$) you get a “thank you”-video – by donating 60 DKK (9$) you get your picture on their website as well as a “thank you”-video and last but not least an invitation to their launch party in August (probably during CPH FW SS17 – which is held August 10-12).
